Fire at Pinnacle’s Houston BC facility halts operations
Operations at Pinnacle Renewable energy’s facility in Houston, British Columbia, have been temporarily suspended following a fire.
According to Pinnacle, operations were suspended as a result of a ‘fire-related event’ on 25 November in the facility’s dryer area. The company reported that three employees sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution.
In a statement, Pinnacle said it “expresses thanks” to the first response personnel who attended the site, adding: “WorkSafeBC and relevant authorities have been notified and a preliminary investigation is underway to determine the cause of the event. No date has been set for the resumption of operations.”
