Anaergia Technologies LLC has secured a C$8 million contract with Vanguard Renewables to supply advanced anaerobic digestion technology for a new facility in Minnesota.
The agreement marks the fourth deployment of Anaergia's integrated solutions with the US-based developer, and will see Anaergia Technologies deliver a platform comprising its proprietary permanent synchronous magnet (PSM) mixers and Biogas Upgrading (BUG™) System alongside its process technology.
Vanguard Renewables will use the system to process food, beverage, and agricultural waste, producing renewable natural gas (RNG) for injection into the local energy distribution network.
John Goodwin, vice president of engineering at Vanguard Renewables, said the company's facilities integrate proven technologies to maximise performance, reliability, and environmental impact, adding that Anaergia's systems and technical expertise are central to its approach.
Assaf Onn, chief executive of Anaergia, said the contract reflects the company's ability to harness the untapped energy potential of food and agricultural waste while supporting US energy leadership and American farms.
