Two deaths recorded after accident at Denmark biogas plant
An accident at a biogas plant on Funen Island, Denmark, has resulted in two deaths, reported Xinhua.
Local police confirmed that several others sustained serious injuries.
The accident took place at Flemlose Biogas Plant, which is about 200km west of Copenhagen.
Danish police confirmed the accident was linked to the collapse or partial collapse of a silo and its roof.
The two workers killed were Romanian nationals aged 20 and 25.
The six injured are also foreign nationals between the ages, 19 and 48.
A police press release stated: "The authorities can confirm that two people have died, while several others are seriously or moderately injured. Rescue efforts are continuing."
The plant produces up to 7 million cubic metres of gas annually for Denmark's natural gas network.
