Enfinium secures long-term fuel supply agreement with REMONDIS
Enfinium, a UK energy from waste operator, has signed a multi-year fuel supply agreement with REMONDIS, one of Europe's largest recycling and waste management companies, supporting three of Enfinium's facilities in West Yorkshire.

Under the agreement, REMONDIS UK will supply 10,000 tonnes of residual waste annually to Enfinium's Ferrybridge 1 and 2 and Skelton Grange energy from waste facilities, rising to 20,000 tonnes annually from 2027.

The three West Yorkshire facilities process up to 1.86 million tonnes of unrecyclable waste annually and generate electricity equivalent to powering approximately 440,000 homes. Across its UK fleet, Enfinium diverts around 2.7 million tonnes of waste from landfill each year, generating enough electricity to power approximately 600,000 homes.

Wayne Robertson, chief commercial and strategy officer at Enfinium, described the partnership as marking 'the beginning of an exciting new partnership between two major players in the European waste management sector', citing the facilities' reliable outlet for residual waste management.

Headquartered in Germany, REMONDIS operates as one of the world's largest recycling, waste management services and water companies, operating across Europe and internationally.

The agreement underpins long-term fuel supply security whilst supporting diversion of climate-damaging landfill waste through thermal energy recovery.
