Motherwell Bridge strikes deal with Entec

In an attempt to become established within the UK’s anaerobic digestion market, Lanarkshire, Scotland-based engineering contractor Motherwell Bridge has formed a partnership with Austrian anaerobic digestion expert Entec Biogas.

In the past Entec has been involved in building biogas facilities all over the world, including Europe, India, Korea, Japan, Malawi and the US.

Commenting on the new deal Russell Ward, Motherwell Bridge’s chief executive, said: ‘The UK’s anaerobic digestion sector is now starting to develop and that is why we took the decision earlier this year to position the business in the renewable sector, in addition to the oil and gas and power and energy sectors.’

Following the strategic move, Motherwell Bridge now aims to bid for a number of commercial-scale contracts within the UK anaerobic digestion market – one of the fastest-developing energy sectors in Europe at the moment.
