Malaby Biogas starts building project

On Bore Hill Farm in Wiltshire, England, UK, development business Malaby Biogas has broke ground on its biogas scheme.

With completion expected within nine to 12 months, the facility is expected to up and running by mid-2012.

Malaby Biogas has hired its sister company Malaby Martin as the main contractor to develop the site, which was granted planning permission by Wiltshire Council earlier this year.

'We are very pleased to see work starting on site and making great progress,' says Malaby Biogas' director Thomas Minter. 'It has taken many months of planning and design to get this far and being on site for the summer will bring a lot of progress. We will use local contractors and suppliers wherever possible and, once operational, we hope to see additional local employment created by the biodigester and the new business units. We are now taking applications for construction and operations posts.'
