E.ON awards Capsol carbon capture feasibility study at Norrköping biomass facility

Capsol Technologies has been awarded a feasibility study by E.ON to evaluate carbon capture solutions at the company's biomass and waste-to-energy operations in Norrköping, Sweden.

The study will assess deployment of Capsol's carbon capture technology at a facility with a potential capture capacity of up to 500,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. It was secured through a competitive tender process and will be carried out in partnership with a strategic engineering partner, drawing on experience from comparable projects.

The work forms part of E.ON's broader evaluation of carbon capture opportunities at the Norrköping site. Capsol CEO Wendy Lam said the award reinforces the company's position in the growing market for carbon capture at biomass and waste-to-energy facilities, which she described as a strong fit for Capsol's technology given the potential for cost-efficient CO2 capture at such sites.
