Indian firm bringing biogas to Africa

Indian meat processing company Allana Sons is to build a meat facility in Ethiopia, Africa, the waste from which will be converted into biogas and animal feed.

The plant will be built on 75 hectares of land and will also include an effluent treatment plant.

Commercial operations at the new $20 million (€14.8 million) project are scheduled to begin in September later this year.

The design of the plant has been completed and Allana Sons is now in the process of evaluating a contractor, according to reports.
