Discussions over new biomass storage tank set

A new storage tank has been proposed by US-based Quaser Energy Group to bolster options at its Liberty Drive facility in New York.

The company says the 5 million gallon tank will be used to store liquid fertiliser by-product coming via its waste disgestion procedure, which uses food waste and sewage sludge to make methane gas for biopower.

The plan is subject to approval by the local town council and a public information meeting has been scheduled for 24 February.
