Smart bricks capable of recycling wastewater and generating electricity from sunlight are being developed by a team of UK-based scientists from the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol).

Antibiotics that could help in the battle against drug-resistant bacteria have been discovered in the digestate produced by a UK anaerobic digestion (AD) plant.
