French company Veolia is set to install an anaerobic digester at a wastewater treatment plant in Le Mans Metropole, an urban community of 19 municipalities.
Veolia has been selected to operate the wastewater treatment plant at La Chauvinière from 2018 for a period of nine years.

Finnish technology group Wärtsilä is set to acquire Puregas Solutions, a Sweden based provider of turnkey biogas upgrading solutions. The acquisition agreement was reached in early October.
Puregas utilises a CApure process to covert raw biogas into biomethane and renewable natural gas. The company has subsidiaries in Germany, Denmark, the UK and USA.
