Zebec Energy is set to start building an anaerobic digestion (AD) plant in Seacombe, UK, after the project was given the go-ahead by local authorities.
Once built, the plant will have the capacity to process 36,000 tonnes of waste feedstock a year to produce enough biomethane to power more than 4,300 homes.
Zebec also plans to construct a 1.4 mile pipeline to export surplus gas to the national grid.
Founded in 2008, Zebec has previously been involved in the development, engineering, construction, and management of Scotland’s largest AD facility.
