New REG biodiesel terminal almost online in New Mexico
Biodiesel producer and distributor Renewable Energy Group (REG) is to establish a B100 wholesale terminal at its soon-to-be-completed biodiesel plant in New Mexico.
The development of the 15 million gallon per year plant, known as REG Clovis, is almost 50% completed but product from the new terminal will be available from July.
‘We believe this new infrastructure demonstrates our commitment to offering our customers better access to biodiesel blending locations throughout the Southwest and West,’ says REG president and CEO Daniel Oh. ‘We intend to complete construction of REG Clovis as a biodiesel production site, but the timing depends on a variety of factors. Using the location as a terminal is also an important way to meet local market demand however.’
REG claims the biodiesel terminal will be the largest n New Mexico and it will transport fuel sales by truck and rail.
