Swiss compressor manufacturer Burckhardt Compression has completed its acquisition of Italian gas compression specialist Fornovo Gas, first announced in May.
Founded in 1969, Fornovo Gas is one of Europe's leading providers of gas compression solutions for biogas and compressed natural gas (CNG) applications. The company focuses on mid-sized reciprocating compressors and employs around 120 people, generating double-digit million Swiss franc sales.
Burckhardt Compression said the deal strengthens its position in the growing biogas and CNG markets, with Fornovo Gas bringing technical expertise, a complementary product line and long-standing customer relationships into the group.
