Corinth plans expansion
Wood pellet company Corinth Wood Pellets of Maine, US, is planning to expand its business.
The pellet firm is on track to receive almost $125,000 (€92,327) from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to fund the expansion, which includes an increase in pellet production and the use of advanced biofuels.
According to CFO Steven Goldberg, 'Wood pellets are not only a cost saving, but it's a clean fuel, it burns clean, it's greenhouse gas neutral.'
Goldberg goes on to explain that receiving the grant was a time consuming process, but will help the company generate more renewable energy.
The project will create 12 jobs and Corinth is now working with the USDA to help it grow further.
