83MW Romanian biomass plant complete

Egger, an Austrian wood company, has finished building a large-scale biomass-fired power plant in Radauti, Romania, according to reports.

The new €35 million plant will generate 83MW of heat and energy from waste wood materials. The project took 13 months to build and was completed in October 2013.

The biomass facility is said to be Romania's largest to date.
