Hungarian energy firm Ormánsági Zöldenergia is reported to be investing HUF950 million (€3 million) into a new biogas plant in Vajszló in the southwest of the country.
Using waste products sourced from nearby farms, the plant will have a capacity to generate 4.5GWh of electricity when it comes online in Q2 2015.

Helsingin Energia and Vapo have agreed on wood pellet deliveries to the Salmisaari and Hanasaari combined heat and power (CHP) plants.
