StocExpo acquired by easyFairs

Belgium-based tradeshow operator easyFairs has acquired the market leading bulk liquid storage conference and exhibition, StocExpo.

easyFairs will take over the organisation of the 2012 event with immediate effect. International sales manager, Sharé Mason, has transferred to the UK offices of easyFairs in Twickenham and will continue in the success of the 2012 event.

UK-based StocExpo has been held consecutively in either Rotterdam or Antwerp since 2005, hitting new records every year. Last year over 160 companies participated in the exhibition, covering 6,200m² of floorspace.

easyFairs will also acquire the sister events including Tank Storage Asia expo & conference, Tank Storage Canada expo & conference and Tank Storage Istanbul.

As part of the agreement Tank Storage magazine has signed a 10 year partnership with StocExpo. The magazine, owned by Horseshoe Media Ltd, will still publish the event catalogue and the StocExpo Daily Newspaper, and will retain its mantle as the official show magazine.

Peter Patterson, MD of StocExpo and Tank Storage magazine, says: ‘We are delighted that the company has been bought by such a reputable exhibition organiser. We are confident easyFairs will be able to build on our successes and add value to future shows. At Tank Storage magazine we will retain a keen interest and involvement in all the events and will work with easyFairs to make the transition as smooth as possible for our loyal exhibitors and customers.’

‘We are tremendously excited to be organising this very successful event,’ echoes easyFairs UK and Ireland’s MD Matthew Benyon. ‘StocExpo fits perfectly with our industrial shows such as the easyFairs SOLIDS European Series and PUMPS & VALVES. We also see great opportunities to geoclone StocExpo to other important port cities and regions.’

Next year’s StocExpo will be held on 13-15 March 2012 at the Ahoy Expo in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
