The Renewable Energy Association has unveiled the finalists for the 21st edition of the British Renewable Energy Awards, with the ceremony taking place on 11 June at the Sheraton Grand, Park Lane in London.
The awards mark the REA's 25th anniversary. Chief executive Trevor Hutchings said the finalists reflected 'the expertise and determination shaping the future of the sector — particularly at this time of energy market volatility.'
In Accelerating Clean Energy Transition, the finalists are CeraPhi Energy, Heat Engineer Software, Harmony Energy, Surrey Energy Centre and IR Energy. The Best in Class shortlist features Puragen, Rendesco, DACI Utilities Engineering Consultancy, CeraPhi Energy, ON Next, Eden Sustainable, Surrey Energy Centre, Camlin Group, ServiceMy, Eco Providers and NCC Enviroenergy.
Collaboration of the Year contenders are Isentra in partnership with Copeland and Co-op; Prolectric Services in partnership with Kier Transportation; DACI Utilities Engineering Consultancy in partnership with Constantine Energy Storage and High Voltage Grid Services; Heat Engineer in partnership with Grundfos; Charge My Street in partnership with Deloitte and Sarabjit Singh KC; Eden Sustainable in partnership with Forthglade; Pure Energy (REGen) in partnership with Innoventum, Barlows, Immersa and Hypervolt; Flogas Britain in partnership with the University of Lincoln; Equitix in partnership with Aware Super and the UK National Wealth Fund; Pineapple CoRE in partnership with Pineapple Partnerships, Schneider Electric, Signify, DCC and EVORA Global; and DeterTech & Gallagher.
The Community Energy Project shortlist comprises North Lincolnshire Community Energy, South East London Community Energy (SELCE), Drax and Surrey Energy Centre. Company finalists are Thanos Renewables, DACI Utilities Engineering Consultancy, Lime, Enviromena, Octopus Energy, Prolectric Services, The Electric Car Scheme, Harmony Energy, Tate Electrical Services, Surrey Energy Centre, Eco Providers, EV-EXBOX, Genfit, On Next, Solarport Systems and BayWa r.e.
Engagement Campaign nominees are PLMR, Energyz Black, Harmony Energy, iChoosr, Flexi Orb Schemes, Retrofits of Laughter and Energy Voice in partnership with Teesside University (REHIP). Innovation finalists include CeraPhi Energy, Thoeni Sustainable Solutions, Energy Solutions, OnGen, OVO Energy, Space Solar, Protius Protocol, The Electric Car Scheme, HiiROC, Stillstrom by Maersk, Pure Energy (REGen), VEV Services and Nuada.
Innovative Scale-Up contenders are Isentra, The Electric Car Scheme, Believ and IR Energy. The Installer shortlist features Brimstone Energy, Pogo Energy Systems, My Ecomove, Tate Electrical Services, Valente Group (trading as Renew-able Solutions), Think Free Solar, Solar EV North, DLEC Electrical, J.P Eco Energy, Fit Solar, OGV Electrical, McNally EV, Eco Providers and IR Energy.
Legal Firm finalists are Shoosmiths, Burges Salmon, Watson Farley & Williams and DLA Piper. Low Carbon Transport nominees are HutanBio, VEV Services, Transport for London, Bennamann and Fleete Group. Managing New Energy Demand finalists are Solar Group Utilities, enfinium, BW ESS, Harmony Energy and Gresham House.
The Project shortlist comprises CeraPhi Energy, Enviromena, Rendesco, Prolectric Services, Wärtsilä, Quinbrook, EDF Power Solutions/SAS Energy, Genfit, Fleete Group, Aura Power Developments and EDX (trading as Kent Heat Pumps). Project Finance Specialists finalists are De Lage Landen, Quinbrook and Watson Farley & Williams.
Recycling nominees are enfinium, ORNA Group and Thoeni Sustainable Solutions. Rising Star contenders are Jo Baber, Olivia Ashill, Daniel Sylvester, Lucas Ryan, Wehid Iqbal and Patrice Burnside. Skills Leadership finalists are Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind, Clarke Energy, Project Infinity Solutions, Drax and EV-EXBOX.
Smart Energy System nominees are SNRG, NCC Enviroenergy, IR Energy, Octopus Energy, Rendesco and Zebra EM. The Circular Economy shortlist comprises ELIQUO HYDROK, SUEZ, Biffa, Veolia and Allium Energy.
