Michele Rebiere named as WPAC president and director
The Wood Pellet Association of Canada (WPAC) has announced the resignation of Brad Bennett as president and director.
Michele Rebiere will succeed Bennett and president and director. Rene Landry has been appointed VP and director, and Wayne Young appointed as director.
Bennett is said to have stepped down for 'personal reasons'. The WPAC board of directors thanks Bennett for his service and wishes him success in his future endeavors.
In addition to her role as president and director of WPAC, Rebiere is CFO of Viridis Energy. where she began in 2009. Viridis owns and operates Okanagan Pellet Company (British Columbia), Scotia Atlantic Biomass (Nova Scotia) and Viridis Merchants (New Jersey).
WPAC's other board members include Vaughan Bassett of Pinnacle Renewable Energy, Narda Brink of Control Union Canada, Jenna MacDonald of Belledune Port Authority, and Ken St. Gelais of Granules LG.
The WPAC is a member-governed trade association that is dedicated to the growth and prosperity of the Canadian wood pellet industry. Members include Canadian wood pellet producers, ports, terminals, stevedoring companies, transportation companies, equipment manufacturers and distributors, inspection companies, engineers, consultants, and universities.
