Malaysia’s largest co-gen plant contractor announced
South Korea-based contractor STX Heavy Industries is planning to build what will be Malaysia’s largest biomass cogeneration plant.
The announcement comes after STX won a $50.20 million (€37.2 million) contract, awarded by the Malaysian firm Ebe, to construct the facility.
Generating electricity from biomass, the power plant is expected to be completed by mid-2012.
