BioNitrogen opens initial plant in Florida

Cleantech company BioNitrogen Holdings, which utilises patented technology to build plants for the conversion of biomass to urea fertiliser, held a ribbon cutting ceremony on 14 May at the site of its initial plant in Hendry County, Florida.

'We are hopeful this is the beginning of our county starting to diversify economically while creating new job potential,' Karson Turner, chairman of the Hendry County board of county commissioners, says. 'This is an important project to the county.

Bryan Kornegay, Jr., president and CFO of BioNitrogen, adds: 'This is a major milestone for us.'
