Seras, a leading UK biomass fuel supplier, has acquired Enva's dedicated wood processing business from Enva UK Opco Ltd, effective immediately.
The acquisition encompasses Enva's Manchester, Middlesbrough and Tilbury locations and secures Seras' position as one of the largest waste wood biomass fuel suppliers operating in the UK.
Beyond reinforcing its core biomass fuel operations, the acquisition provides Seras with a route into adjacent sustainable product markets, including animal bedding.
Richard Jenkins, Seras CEO, said the deal represented a significant step in the company's expansion strategy. "This is an exciting time of growth for our business. Neil Spencer, Seras Commercial Director, described the acquisition as a strategic fit with the company's growth trajectory. "Buying the dedicated waste wood operations of Enva ensures we can offer additional Northern locations in Manchester and Middlesbrough, whilst strengthening our processing operations in Tilbury," he said. Seras is welcoming colleagues from the Enva Wood business along with their customer base, focusing on a smooth transition during the handover process. The company plans to pursue further strategic opportunities to ensure its expanded waste wood operations continue to grow in the sector.
