Toyo Engineering Corp to build 75MW biomass plant

Toyo Engineering Corporation (Toyo) will construct a 75,000 kW (75 MW) biomass plant in the city of Ichihara in Japan’s Chiba Prefecture for Ichihara Yawatafuto Biomass Power Godo Kaisha.

The new plant will use wood biomass and be ‘highly-efficient’, based on the facility’s reheating system, according to Toyo.

The firm will carry out the EPC turnkey contract on a full turnkey basis, including engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning services for a power generation unit.

Power generation plants form one of Toyo’s key business areas. The firm is actively working in the field of renewable energy plants such as photovoltaic power plants and biomass plants.

The new plant is expected to be completed in 2023.
