Canada and Netherlands join bioenergy forces

Two international organisations have signed an memorandum of understanding to share and develop bioenergy sectors this March.

Rotterdam Biomass Commodities Network (RBCN) and the Wood Pellet Association of Canada will now cooperate together by sharing knowledge and organising biomass events.

‘RBCN is an organisation dedicated to strengthening and promoting the Dutch bioenergy sector and bio-economy,’ WPAC executive director Gordon Murray, who co-signed the agreement, was quoted as saying. ‘The Netherlands is far ahead of Canada in implementing bioenergy, so we are excited about this new opportunity to learn from our Dutch colleagues.’
