A2A confirms non-binding bid interest in Snam’s Bioenerys biomethane unit

Italian multi-utility A2A has confirmed it is preparing to submit a non-binding offer for Bioenerys, the vehicle through which Snam consolidates its biogas and biomethane operations.

A2A chief executive Renato Mazzoncini confirmed the company is actively reviewing the dossier ahead of the deadline for initial expressions of interest. He indicated the group would participate in the opening phase of the process before assessing what further information emerged.

Bioenerys operates around 40 plants and functions as Snam's primary hub for biogas and biomethane activity in Italy. The sale process is at an early stage, with Mazzoncini noting that the timeline for subsequent phases would depend on the number of bids received.
