BMW Manufacturing has extended its partnership with Amerisco Inc for an additional eight years. Amerisco constructed a 9.5-mile pipeline from the Palmetto Landfill to Plant Spartanburg in the US on behalf of the automotive firm.
Two decades ago, BMW Manufacturing began using recycled methane gas from a local landfill to provide electricity and hot water for the plant.

Ofgem has commissioned a probe into biomass firm Drax's adherence to sustainability rules, the Financial Times reported.
The UK energy regulator has tasked US consultants with examining Drax over its use of biomass, having launched an investigation into Drax in 2022, according to documents procured via a Freedom of Information application.

Scandinavian Biogas has released its Q1 '23 results, reporting an increase in the volume of energy sold by 3.1% to 88.1 GWh, from 85.4 GWh during the same period last year. Total revenue has increased by 32.3%, to SEK 130.1 (€11.4m), from SEK 98.4m (€8.6m) in Q1 '22.
