In an industry first, gas engine specialist Gen-C will launch a new CHP partnership – the Energy+ Alliance – on stand B503 at World Biogas Expo 2023, which takes place on 29 & 30 March in Birmingham, UK.
Offering whole-of-market engine support, pioneering performance accessory kits and CHP supply, the Energy+ Alliance enables AD/biogas plant operators to generate more power faster, boosting energy output while cutting costs associated with spares and servicing. As well as supplying new and rental CHP engines, the partnership will empower existing engine owners to break free from expensive and restrictive service contracts and bring their legacy CHP into their digital era.
More power, faster
Whatever the type of CHP engine, it’s common for owners to find slow start-ups, waiting for service engineers and spares price-hikes all too frustrating, according to Gen-C. Looking to tackle these pain points, the Energy+ Alliance has been formed to provide seamless end-to-end CHP support with pioneering engine accessories to give owners instant access to more power faster.
Seven of Europe’s brightest CHP innovators bring their wisdom and expertise to the alliance – Gen-C, LouwSon Energy, Motortech, RS Motor, Re-Power, CM Commissioning and LS Parts. Offering a unique market approach, Energy+ Alliance customers will receive engine-boosting engineering, express parts delivery, responsive service, rapid start-ups, digital remote troubleshooting, as well as new, refurbished and rental engines.
James Thompson, managing director of Gen-C and founder member of the Energy+ Alliance says: “Instead of returning to the manufacturer to have your car serviced or modified, think of the Energy+ Alliance like your trusted local garage which offers better value breakdown cover, stocked parts and tech accessories, and pulls out all the stops to get you back on the road fast! We offer independent CHP advice, support and options to super-boost your gas output.”
Stronger together
The seven companies that make up the Energy+ Alliance are:
Gen-C – Digital-first UK gas engine support company, delivering the latest CHP innovations. Specialists in open-access control panels, remote monitoring and troubleshooting, engine upgrades and bespoke, innovative add-ons to boost performance. Suppliers of quality parts for all major engine brands.
LouwSon Energy – Dutch-based supplier of natural gas and biogas CHP engines, including new, used and rental options from 30 kW to 1 MW+, plus containerised solutions for sites with limited space. All leading engine brands are available, from Jenbacher and MAN to Liebherr and Scania, and every engine comes with free 12-month technical support.
Motortech GmbH – International developer and manufacturer of gas engine components and accessories for all leading CHP brands. Motortech’s commitment to R&D places them at the cutting edge of CHP innovation, providing industry leading solutions for ignition, air/fuel ratio, fuel mixers, speed control, detonation control, control panels and oil level management.
RS Motor – Based in Spain, RS Motor is a specialist in MWM, Guascor and Jenbacher engines, offering spares and servicing and major overhauls
CM Commissioning – CHP engine start-up and commissioning specialist based in the UK, offering remote support including fault seeking, troubleshooting and instant restarts across all leading engine brands.
Re-Power – Dutch-based gas engine support company, delivering a digital approach to service and maintenance of leading engine brands. Experts in control panel upgrades and all aspects of CHP enhancement.
LS Parts – Approved MAN parts supplier, delivering quality engine spares from cylinder heads and pistons to liners and fully-assembled short blocks.
Next-generation CHP support
“The Energy+ Alliance is a natural evolution of the already strong partnership between our companies, which has deepened over sthe five years that we have been working together,” explained James Thompson.
“AD operators can benefit from our combined experience and expertise, safe in the knowledge that their engine will be fast, smart, efficient and carbon-saving. We can also bring their legacy CHP into the digital era with smart innovations such as open-access control panels and remote monitoring systems, helping owners of all major engine brands to cut their costs and boost their power output. Our network of approved service partners gives us a global reach without the significant financial commitment normally associated with such comprehensive support.”
