Fort Drum biomass power contract still up for grabs

A decision on who will supply Fort Drum, New York, US, with biomass power will not be made until 2014, according to the Defense Logistics Agency.

Negotiations are reportedly still taking place, but issues 'should be resolved in January'.

The contract will be worth millions of dollars each year. ReEnergy Holdings, which already operates a biomass facility on post, is tipped to be a top contender. A 27-acre site close nearby could also be developed as a biomass plant, according to reports.
