Celignis USA opens laboratory in Iowa to support North American bioeconomy

The facility will offer the full Celignis portfolio of analytical and bioprocess development services directly to U.S.-based clients.
These services include more than 170 standardised analysis packages covering approximately 400 analytes, ranging from lignocellulosic composition and biofuel potential to seaweed and biochar characterisation.
The Iowa lab will support companies in sectors such as bioenergy, bioproducts and renewable natural gas (RNG), providing local access to expertise that was previously supplied from Celignis’s Irish headquarters.
Establishing a U.S. base aims to reduce logistical barriers, speed turnaround times, and enable closer collaboration with American clients.
Daniel Hayes, founder of Celignis and president of Celignis USA Corporation, said the expansion would allow the company to “deliver precise, reproducible data and the insight to act on it - turning measurements into decisions that advance the U.S. bioeconomy.”
