RusForest, a Swedish forestry company with operations in Russia, has sold its subsidiary, Ystad Pellets. Ystad Pellets owns a non-core wood pellet mill that has been idle for several years in Ystad, Sweden. PHI Group, a company focused on energy and natural resources, is to establish wood pellet factories in central and southern Vietnam after signing a memorandum of understanding with two Vietnamese wood processing companies. Waycross-headquartered E-Pellets has acquired the formerly shuttered Louisiana Pacific OSB mill in Athens, Georgia for $13 million (€9.6 million), with plans to convert it into a wood pellet production plant.
