Markinch biomass plant progress to be addressed at meeting

A public meeting is to be held in Fife, Scotland, later this month to update residents on the progress of a biomass plant in the town of Markinch.

Plant manager Ian Gaunt is set to give a presentation on the current state of ongoing work at the £200 million (€247.7 million) plant, situated on the former site of Tullis Russell paper manufacturers.

Progress relating to environmental and production issues will also be addressed at the meeting, open to all members of the public and due to take place on 22 June.

The plant was scheduled to switch to full capacity production by May 2014.
