Eagle Valley awarded USDA certified level

Eagle Valley Eco Fuels, a manufacturer of biomass fuel, has earned the US Department of Agriculture's (USDA) 'certified bio-based product' label for its Brickenmore biomass fuel brick and fire starters.

The USDA certified label verifies that the bio-based materials used in a product meet or exceed prescribed USDA standards.

'The label will assure our customers that Brickenmore biomass fuel bricks and fire starters are setting the standards high, with a 100% rating, by producing a sustainable heating and fire igniting source,' says Michael Richey, president of Eagle Valley Eco Fuel.

All bio-based amount claims are verified by independent laboratories and monitored by the USDA.

'Bio-based products provide opportunities to help add value to renewable commodities and generate investment income,' adds Ron Buckhalt, USDA BioPreferred programme manager.
