UK biogas facility under construction

Eternity Capital, a specialist in funding for waste management and environmental services companies in the UK and Europe, has started constructing an anaerobic digestion (AD) facility for producing biogas from agricultural and food waste in Cornwall, UK, with an investment of £9.6 million (€11.4 million).

The new facility will be built in collaboration with developer and operator Greener for Life.

According to Eternity Capital, the facility will be one of the first few AD facilities in the UK that would produce biogas from organic waste for the main gas grid.

The new plant is expected to have a lifetime of 20 years and will supply enough renewable energy to power over 2,500 homes each year.
