Twenty biomass plants to be developed in Cuba

Azcuba, a Cuban sugar holding company, could build up to 19 biomass power plants in the nation, with up to 765MW of production capacity, it has been reported.

The renewable facilities, some of which would be attached to existing sugar mills, will handle bagasse.

The project could cost up to $1.7 billion (€1.2 billion).
