Talwar Thakore & Associates (TT&A) has advised Sumitomo Corporation on its proposed collaboration with TruAlt Bioenergy Limited (TBL) in the operation of TruAlt Gas Private Limited, paving the way for a new joint venture in India’s growing compressed biogas sector.
The deal involves Sumitomo’s potential acquisition of a 49% stake in TruAlt Gas Private Limited from an existing shareholder, alongside the formation of a joint venture between Sumitomo and TBL.
The partnership is aimed at developing and establishing compressed biogas plants and producing associated by-products.
TT&A’s advisory team on the transaction included Partners Gautam Saha, Punita Gupta and Akshay Malhotra, supported by Senior Associate Aditi Somani and Associate Eshani Agarwal.
