Plenitude and biomethane solutions developer Methagora have signed a 15-year agreement covering the sourcing of 50 GWh of biomethane per year in France.
Under the deal, Methagora will supply Plenitude with biomethane sourced from agricultural sites across France, operating under the country's Biomethane Production Certificates scheme.
The partnership is intended to support the development of the French biomethane sector while providing end consumers with access to certified, locally produced energy.
Methagora's model targets existing methanation sites that currently valorise biogas through cogeneration, converting these units to grid injection by installing purifiers, compressors and expansion valves.
Plenitude serves close to one million retail customers in France and has around 1 GW of installed renewable energy capacity in the country.
The company is also expanding its presence in the electric vehicle charging market.
