Nopetro extends LYNX partnership with new Kissimmee CNG station

The station, located at 100 N. Alaska Ave., will feature two fuelling lanes and two dispensers, and is expected to be operational by the end of August 2026. It will run on 100% renewable natural gas (RNG).
Jorge Herrera, chief executive of the Miami-based company, said the new facility would strengthen LYNX's ability to operate a modern, lower-emission fleet while managing costs and maintaining reliable service.
The Kissimmee station will be the 15th CNG facility operated by Nopetro in Florida. Over the past ten years, the company has supported LYNX across infrastructure design and construction, maintenance facility build-outs, fleet conversion initiatives and a revenue-sharing model.
CNG is considered a practical option for public transit operators due to its lower and more stable pricing compared with diesel, reduced emissions and reliable performance for high-mileage fleets.
Nopetro also develops RNG infrastructure across Florida, including a recently announced $50m investment in a Manatee County facility expected to generate enough energy to power around 4,500 homes annually.
The company's Vero Beach RNG facility has been producing fuel for buses and trucks since opening in Q3 2025.
