New pellet facility slated for US
A new multi-million dollar wood pellet plant has been tentatively announced for Mississippi, US.
The $115 million (€88.1 million) facility is slated to be housed at George County industrial park and will aim to produce around 500,000 tonnes of pellets a year. That figure is according to management from Florida-based Green Circle Bioenergy (GCB), the company attached to the project.
Construction is pencilled in for this autumn and expected to be operational by the spring of 2015.
GCB is owned by Sweden-based private investment company JCE Group.
