New biogas project discussed in Wisconsin

Hearings will be held to discuss a proposed biogas plant and manure digester in Wisconsin, US.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has earmarked the first gathering to consider an air pollution permit, the second for a discharge system permit. Both hearings will take place in May.

The application to operate manure storage facilities, two biogas fired engines and anaerobic digesters has come from GL Dairy Biogas.

The DNR has initially stated the project should be approved and an environmental assessment is being prepared.
