Natural Power expands into biomass
Renewable energy consultancy firm Natural Power is expanding its green energy portfolio of products and services provided in the wind, wave and tidal markets and is moving into the biomass sector.
A new team of experienced professionals across the biomass and associated industries have joined Natural Power’s existing staff at its Scottish headquarters in the UK.
Work has already been secured including due diligence services on a 15MW biomass plant in the UK. Further projects range from private estates and large public sector clients through to developers who require development support across the biomass project lifecycle.
Commenting on the expansion biomass team leader Dan Gates said: ‘Successful biomass projects offer a dependable renewable energy supply with over 90% capacity factor – if you pick the right technology, fuel and site you can have a very attractive project. In recent years there have been some poor developments across the sector but our newly established team at Natural Power will be striving to provide successful, constructible projects that work both for the client and the environment.’
