Laidlaw Energy cancels biomass plans

In the US, Laidlaw Energy Group has scrapped its plans to build a biomass-fired power plant.

Planned for Berlin, New Hampshire, the plant would have been the largest wood-burning power plant in the state, generating 70MW of renewable energy.

The plant would have been operated by Laidlaw Energy's subsidiary Laidlaw Berlin BioPower.
