Kedco proposes AD facility development
Waste to energy group Kedco, has announced that it is looking to establish an Anaerobic Digestion ("AD") facility in Langham, Rutland as part of the Company's ongoing development pipeline. The company, which focuses on the production of clean energy in the UK and Ireland, expects to develop the facility in partnership with the Larkfleet Group, a privately owned group of development and construction and energy companies.
Kedco will be holding a Public Exhibition to showcase its plans for the proposed AD facility, which is expected to produce up to 1.3 MW of electricity from locally grown agricultural material. This amount is equivalent to the energy consumption of over 2,350 homes.
The Company recently completed a public consultation process with respect to the proposal of 2 further plants for the production of Biomass electricity and heat. These facilities would also be in partnership with the Larkfleet Group and located in Clay Cross, Derbyshire.
