Inked deal will bring biomass plant to China

A provider of biomass power solutions, DP CleanTech has signed a contract with construction company Chant Group that will see the construction of a biomass power plant in China.

The cogeneration plant, which will be built in Heilongjiang province, China, will utilise straw waste provided by local farmers to generate around 200Kw of electricity each year that will be supplied to the National Grid. 571,000Gj of energy a year will also be produced.

DP CleanTech will provide the plant with high-pressure temperature technology and a dual boiler system that is expected to raise the amount of power generated.
