Green Circle Bio Energy could expand

Green Circle Bio Energy, a provider of renewable energy, is looking to expand its plant in Cottondale, Florida, US, to supply some of the demand in Europe.

The plant currently converts 560,000 tonnes a year of biomass into renewable energy.

No definite expansion plans are in place but Green Circle is already looking at locations for the expansion. These include Florida, Mississippi and Alabama.

When these plans are finalised, the company's president and CEO Morten Neraas believes the plant would take between 12 and 18 months to build.
