Funds used Maine-ly for biomass-based energy projects

The US Department of Forestry has invested millions of dollars into boosting biomass use throughout Maine.

The $11.4 million (€8.6 million) has gone towards the Fuels for Public Buildings grant which aims to bring 24 biomass conversion projects online in the likes of schools, public buildings and hospitals across the state.

The latest project, at an education centre in Ashland, is scheduled to be completed this May.
