EQTEC Gasifier Technology to be supplied to Phoenix Biomass

US-based technology solutions company, EQTEC, announced in a press release that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with California-based power firm Phoenix Biomass, to supply its EQTEC Gasifier Technology (EGT) for two plants.

Both contracts are estimated to be worth €10 million ($11.7 million) collectively.

The press release detailed Phoenix’s willingness to utilise EQTEC’s technology and equipment on future projects as well, depending on the outcome of both projects,

“We are delighted to be the exclusive supplier of technology to Phoenix Energy. The USA is a key country for waste to gasification technology and we are excited to be entering this market with our first project with Phoenix Energy,” said Ian Price, CEO of EQTEC.
