Companies combine to seek cleaner air via biomass

Control systems provider Tri-Mer and Enginuity Energy (EE) will work together to test the air emission quality of various biomass fuels.

Both companies will share technologies and work out of EE’s research and development laboratory in Pennsylvania, where EE gasifies a range of high moisture and high ash content material. Tri-Mer will provide a filter system that is capable of removing NOx, acid gases and dioxins.

‘We are excited to be working with the technology leader in emissions control,’ EE chairman David Mooney was quoted as saying. ‘With the addition of Tri-Mer’s technology to our low emission gasifier, we aim to be able to guarantee our clients the cleanest emissions in the industry.’
