CNE subsidiary completes biogas plant and develops more

Technology, process and engineering solutions provider China New Energy's subsidiary, Guangdong Zhongke Tianyuan New Energy Science and Technology (ZKTY), has finished building a biogas plant for gas company Xin'ao.

The plant is now operational, producing 7,000m3 of biogas a day.

ZKTY is now developing a biogas recovery and purifying plant to be located at Kingway Beer Group's brewery in Shenzhen. Upon completion of this plant, which is slated before mid-2012, the biogas will be sold to Shenzhen City Gas Group.

This plant will also produce 7,000m3 per day of biogas and generate around CNY8 million (€928,000) in sales revenue.

Additionally, ZKTY is also in talks with a Guangxi-based ethanol producer to design and construct a 60,000m3 per day biogas recovery and purifying plant.
