Burnham RNG to develop projects across the US

Burnham RNG, a Virginia-based developer of RNG facilities, has closed on an investment by affiliates of Edge Natural Resources to build, acquire, own and operate RNG assets across the US.

Edge Natural Resources is a Dallas-based private equity company that invests in the small-cap North American energy sectors.

Burnham has built a pipeline of RNG development assets and acquisition targets including projects focused on wastewater, dairy, hog and industrial food waste. The company intends to grow its pipeline by acquiring projects from existing developers and asset owners at all stages of development and operations, including landfill gas projects.

“We’re delighted to partner with Edge,” said Burnham’s CEO, Chris Tynan. “Edge’s experience in building and scaling energy companies will rapidly accelerate our growth and help us provide increased value to our partners, project developers, dairy owners, and other waste generators.”

Roy Aneed, CEO of Edge Natural Resources, commented: “Burnham’s management team has differentiated itself with deep experience in the operations of complex bioenergy facilities. This experience will lead to more gas production over the life of the assets and ultimately more value to our partners.”
